There are usually two types of capsules: hard capsules and soft capsules. Hard capsules, also known as hollow capsules, are composed of two parts: the cap body; Soft capsules are products made from both film-forming materials and contents simultaneously.
Hard capsules are classified according to raw materials, and generally include:
Gelatin capsule
Gelatin capsules are the most popular two part capsules in the world.
The capsule consists of two precision machined capsule shells. There are various sizes of capsules, including capsules numbered 000 #, 00 #, 0 # -5 #. The capsule can also be colored and printed, presenting a unique customized appearance.
The capsule body has a conical edge that allows for smooth encapsulation of the capsule on a high-speed filling machine. The dual locking loop system allows the capsule to pre lock before filling, and to fully fit together after filling with medication. The design of the capsule also includes breathable holes to avoid unnecessary air pressure inside the capsule during high-speed filling, which can cause rebound.
Plant capsules
Plant capsules are hollow capsules made from plant cellulose or water-soluble polysaccharides, such as prostaglandins, to meet the needs of all natural positioning and capsule formulation solutions. It retains the advantages of all standard hollow capsules: easy to take, effective in masking taste and odor, transparent and visible content, and has a connotation that traditional gelatin capsules do not have.
